In Response to an Angry Letter from Grandma

1 Nov

Okay already!! I’ll put up pictures. Sheesh.

Behold, the winners of Best Costume at the ward party:

Princess Leia and Yoda's homemade costumes were a hit. And as a bonus those fleece hats kept them super warm.

Finn refused to wear his costume. I'm glad I skipped naps and Patrick stayed up late working on it.

We bribed him with candy to put on his costume for pictures.

Family shot.

Lucy and Rhett waiting in the front yard for trick or treaters.

Finn loved handing out candy. When things would slow down, he'd stand up and wave candy around and yell "trick or treat! come get candy!!"

We took a trip to a pumpkin patch a few weeks ago with friends. There is a farm just outside of town that has a petting zoo with farm animals and a playground. They take you on a hayride out to a corn maze from which you emerge onto a giant pumpkin patch. Each kid gets to take home a small kid-sized pumpkin. We had a great time.

Finn refused to look at the camera.

This is the pumpkin he picked out to put in his room. Within two days it had committed hari kari and imploded.

Finn and his best friend Dorothy were in pumpkin heaven.

The hayride out to the corn maze.

I’m so glad Luisa threw herself on her sword before me and nagged you about pictures. DARLING COSTUMES!

As a certified geek (I do have a Computer Science degree!) I approve of the Yoda and Leia costumes.

My girls only wanted fairies this year, although the youngest ended up as a Southern Belle. Last year we had a ninja.
