There was a bombing at the Khan-el-Khalili tonight, with a few deaths and more wounded. Melissa, Finn, and I are safe and sound at home.

Thank Goodness!! It just makes me feel sick thinking about it happening.
I got freaked out when I heard about it, not knowing if this was a place you frequented, or not. The randomness to the violence…a 17 yo daughter of doting parents…it makes me very melancholy, especially as a parent and a lover of goodness.
The Khan is a place that all of us expats go to regularly. I was just there with friends days before the bombing. It’s really scary to think about. We’re just weirded out that we live in a place where bombs go off.
